About Sam
Sam joined our team in 2025, and with her amazing experiences as a performer and teacher, she allows her students to really shine in the classroom.
Sam has a BA in music performance, sociology, and psychology, and it is clear she is passionate about the important tools music can provide to her students’ lives.
From Sam: “My life experience has taught me that learning to make music is transformative. It’s such a powerful tool for self reflection, mindfulness, emotional awareness, decision making, habit building, human connection, and so much more. Naturally, I want to expose as many young people as possible to building a positive relationship with music too.”
Music Background
I grew up singing musical soundtracks in the car with my mom and making up my own silly songs each morning as I waited for the school bus. My mom would bring me to hospitals and nursing homes to sing every holiday season, and my parents supported me in every music ensemble—from jazz band, to marching band, to handbells, to show choir, and beyond. Performing my first original song in college opened a world of possibilities for my career in music!
I play piano, *some* guitar and ukulele, French horn, and voice.
Beyond Arrow
I spend 90% of my spare time taking care of my two toddlers! Whew! The other 10% is split between sitting on the porch swing, taking cat naps, spending time with my friends and family, or baking banana bread.
Aside from constantly singing/playing instruments with my kids, performing at church, and reliving my glory days on American Idol… I write, produce, distribute, and perform custom songs for peoples’ major life events (like weddings, funerals, birthdays, etc.).
